Bringing Vital Health Services to Rural Uganda

Full Motion Pictures under the direction of Suzanne Mitchell created a short film documenting the impacts of non-profit Soft Power Health. This healthcare facility, founded by Dr. Jessie Stone, is located in the Ugandan village of Kyabirwa, a small subsistence farming and fishing community located on the banks of the Nile River, 10 kilometers from its source Lake Victoria. Like many villages in rural Uganda, access to education and healthcare remains very limited. Since 2004, Soft Power Health has continued to offer villagers access to vital in-clinic and outreach health services that improve the quality of life in this region while saving lives. This film tells the story of one woman's aspiration to create lasting change for those in desperate need by showcasing her efforts to bring reliable and accessible healthcare to thousands of Ugandans. Through emotional moments spent with the caregivers and their patients, viewers witness how Soft Power Health offers substantive medical treatment to tens of thousands of rural villagers who rely upon and now thrive through the services provided by this first-class healthcare facility.
